Breakfast fika sandwich 24-7
Basic but with a twist! A traditional Nordic style ham and cheese sandwich livened up with tangy cornichons and smoked pepper.
Ingredients
- 2 Polarbröd Rye Square
- 50 g plain cream cheese
- 1 g smoked pepper powder
- 30 g smoked ham
- 30 g mature cheese, sliced
- 5 g cornichons
Do this
Tip! For a spicier sandwich, add more smoked pepper powder
- Mix the plain cream cheese with the pepper powder
- Slice the cornichons lengthwise (diagonally)
- Spread the cream cheese on both slices of bread
- Arrange the ham, cheese and sliced cornichon on one of the slices
- Lay the other slice of bread on top and press down lightly
- Cut the sandwich in two with a sharp knife
- Stack together, wrap and place in the fridge
